Double Pie Crust

You can by choice use a store-bought crust, but if you want to make this recipe special, go make your own crust.

  • 2 2/3 cups of shortening
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup of water

Impeccable Spinach And Quiche Filling

  • 3/4 c. Monterey Jack cheese
  • 3/4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped green onions
  • 1/4 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 pound sliced bacon
  • 6 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (10 oz) pkg frozen chopped spinach – thawed, drained, and squeezed dry (You can also use fresh if you like – I use baby spinach)
  • 5 dashes of hot pepper sauce, or to taste
  • 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce

Getting it Ready Directions

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.

Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. /turn it often until evenly brown, for approximately 10 minutes. Drain the bacon on a paper towel and chop, when it is cool. Take the eggs, and whisk and cream them when cool. Add hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.

Take the spinach and add it to the bottom of the pie crust. Top it with bacon, Monterrey Jack cheese, and green onion. Pour the egg mixture and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Bake until the top is lightly puffed and brown. Cooking time is approximately one hour.
