Creating A Balanced Life

This new year, 2019, is the time to start Creating A balanced Life. That means accessing your old life and wanting to make changes for the better. Do things a little differently to achieve better results. Learning how to create that balance is the hard part. Be determined to make this change, and things will start to happen for you the way you want.

creating a balanced life

With everything that goes on in our lives, it is very much a balancing act. What we try to do is fit everything we do into a day, a week, or a month. We are always trying to move forward with our main purposes. We want to achieve our goals, but we try to fit too many things into our schedules. This shifts the balance, and we get our lives out of balance.

Creating a balanced life is like walking a tightrope, and a fall is due at any minute. We are constantly working to keep from falling.

Creating A Balanced Life: The Unexpected

If we keep letting unexpected things come in and snap our attention away from the important thing of creating a balanced life, this creates an imbalance, and nothing goes as it should.

You must remember that no one can do this for you; you must do it yourself. No one else can think, breathe, feel, see, experience, love, or die for us.
It’s up to us to balance all the various features of our lives. You only need to plan what you want to do and then do it.

First, deal with these things according to their importance. We must understand that some of these things in our lives are going to be bad for us. We learn to schedule each one to be taken care of according to its importance.

Creating A Balanced Life: Your Responsibility

You are responsible for everything that needs to be done. No one can do it for us. No one can think, breathe, feel, see, experience, love, or die for us. It’s up to us to balance all the different aspects of our lives. We just have to decide to do it.

The first thing we need to do is stop and assess what is going on in our lives. Look at the areas we are trying to fit in: our home life, family, work life, spirituality, relationships, community work, etc.

Creating A Balanced Life To Balance The Scale

Are you able to supply enough energy to balance the scale? Are we able to supply enough energy to all areas of our lives? If you can not do this the scale is tipped one-way, and here is where you need to start reforming your schedule so that things are balanced.

Here’s how you balance it all out:

1. Assess your life as it is now.

The first step in restructuring our lives is to look at ourselves as we really are today. Do you feel physically exhausted, mentally drained, or find yourself without close relationships? If you call yourself a workaholic? Do you feel a lack of spiritual alignment? If you answered YES to any of these questions your life is probably out of balance.

2. Make a conscious decision to become balanced.

The second step to becoming balanced is to commit to change and start balancing out your life. Achieving this balance will allow us to do those things we originally set out to do. We accomplish goals, we finish the task that had been put on hold, and we do all of this without being stressed. You must make a conscious decision to become balanced. By doing this you can create a balanced life.

3. And make that decision on a minute-to-minute schedule.

All of us are instant forgeters. We forget all those decisions we made. It’s like making New Year’s resolutions. We make them at the beginning of every year. After a few months, we forget we made them.

We need to renew our resolutions on a minute-by-minute basis. This will allow us to ease into the change and not instantly, all of a sudden try to change a situation.

4. Set goals in every area of your life.

Set realistic goals, in every area of your life. Stick to those goals. Don’t try adding unexpected short-term goals to the ones you already have set up. This can throw off the balance. Remember that these goals are what is important and what should come first. Some of the things that your goals should cover are:

  • mental development
  • physical being
  • spiritual alignment
  • mental development
  • job
  • relationships
  • finances

5. Be willing to take the risk.

Be willing to assess ourselves and take the risk to change. This will not only brighten your life; you will feel all the terrific energy that comes from it. You won’t feel like the walls are closing in on you all the time. If as time goes on, something feels that it isn’t working, be willing to look at a new decision. Things don’t always work the way we plan.

Find out how to start believing in yourself, which will help enhance this process of balancing your life.

Make time to reassess yourself on a daily basis.

We have got to be true to ourselves. Admit that things don’t seem quite right. Now is the time for you to stop and reassess yourself. Take a good look at what’s going on. Begin the process of change. Make time to reassess yourself on a daily basis. Don’t wait a month, a few months; start at that moment. Make time for yourself, meditate, relax every day, and check yourself out.

Creating a balanced life will help you to be the person you want to be. You will be happy, content, and ready to tackle anything, but don’t overload. You want to keep that balance.
